Teacher Appreciation Day

O. had class today, so, for the first day of Teacher Appreciation week, we decided to give flowers for them to plant.  How great that they came in these cute green containers.  I tied the ribbon around them for an extra touch. (*wink)  We got the FREE printable from here.  For some reason, they should of printed out smaller and you were supposed to use a 2" circle punch.  Well, mine printed out very large, like 5" or so.  So, I trimmed them down and used my Cricut to make the background.  They were oh so pretty!

She was very excited to take them to school!

Envelope Bunnies

I decided at 10pm the night before, that I had to make something for my daughter's class.  I wasn't going to do anything (don't ask me why?), but, how could I not?  I remember seeing this last year at Martha Stewart and thought this was a cute idea.  All supplies on hand except for the envelopes.  My daughter didn't get to help with this project because of the last minute timing.  Although, she did wake up a little earlier and stuffed the bunny with grass and filled them with candy.  I think they were a hit!

Cupcake liner pom pom

I started this project a long time ago and then set it down...now, it's time to finish.
They would be great in solid colors!

Spring flower

Made these cute little flowers on Easter morning.  I knew I saved my TP rolls for something.  They were so easy to make.  Tutorial can be found here.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

The first thing on my list for St. Patrick's Day was to find some chocolate coins.  I put a word out on facebook and my friend told me of a local place.  Yay!
For my younger daughter, we decided to do this idea using the Lucky Charm cereal.  What 3yo wouldn't want to eat this sugary stuff?  Actually, the marshmallows tasted pretty good!  My 3yo spooned them into the snack size ziplock baggies and I stapled the topper on.  Very simple, easy and cute!

O. made these for her classmates.  I thought this was a clever idea.  Did you know that you can make 5 full rainbows out of one package of the licorice?  Back to the store to get 2 more bags of licorice.

We made these for all the teachers.  I found the caldrons at a party store and the funny thing was, the package label said Halloween.  We found the tags here and we filled them with Rolo candies.
LUCKY POT 'O GOLD!!!
I attached the tag with green twine.  We put them in cello bags and tied with ribbon.

Valentine's Day treats

For Valentine's Day, I decided to make both of my daughter's teachers (6 total)  these cute chinese take out boxes filled with fortune cookies.  Since I don't eat Chinese food, I had no idea where to buy the cookies.  But, alas, our Super WalMart had them.  I even tried one to see if they were good and they were.  I dipped them in dark chocolate and the girls put the sprinkles on. I saw the idea here!
p.s.  those pretzels were for moi!

I put 6 in a ziplock baggie and then put them in the container.  I wanted them to stay fresh.
I also had to make Jello jigglers for my one daughter's class party.  Honestly, I have never made them before. They were actually easy and they turned out perfect.  Strawberry hearts-Mmmm!  When I signed up to make the jigglers, that was the only thing left to sign up for.  The teacher said that was always the last thing to be taken.  I wonder why?  I know I'll do it again.

For my daughter's Valentine's for her class we used this free printable from here.
It was a tic-tac-toe game.  She was able to write who it was for and her name on the topper.  We made 12 of these. I wish I had taken more pictures of this.
Since my daughter is only 3, I thought these would be perfect for the kids in her class.  I fell in love with the idea from here.  I could not find the individual shovels anywhere, maybe they don't even come like that, but, once again, WalMart came thru.  They were attached to buckets for $1.  Thank God I only needed 6.  So, now I have 6 buckets at home.  They will  be good for the summer I'm sure.  I put M&M's in a clear party bag and cut it down and then tied it with Twine.  I wrote on it with a paint pen and signed her name very small on the back of the shovel.  Who wouldn't want one of these?
