O's Easter gift for class

We made these for O's class. I originally saw the idea here and thought how easy and cute these would be to make. Even grandma got in on the craft. She made the ears. By the way, a shout out to my mom, she is very crafty and ArTiStIc. I didn't get that gene.

We got the white paper cups at the dollar store and filled with grass and some candy. We used foam for the ears.

I ran out of white pipe cleaners-hence the odd bunny out!

Rainbow cupcakes

These were all the rage for St. Pat's Day this year. I saw this in Family Fun magazine, but, didn't get a chance to bake these for the holiday. I did however bake them for my work's bake sale they were having today. I would recommend using a frosting bag to fill the cupcake liner. I wasn't able to spread the layers very well to the edges with a spoon and just plopped them on top of each other. Live and learn.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I saw this in the Family Fun magazine, a reader had sent this in and I thought how perfect to make for O's class snack. It is so colorful and yummy too! She loved the RaInBoW!!!
(watermelon, oranges, pineapple, pears, blueberries, purple grapes & mini marshmallows for the cloud)

Fudge

My friend made this fudge for St. Patty's Day and used the many colors of the rainbow and the taste is spectacular--it tasted like an old-fashioned creamsicle. YUM!

Bubble machine

My daughter's Under the Sea party is coming up in a couple of weeks. For months, I have had this idea that it would be great to have a bubble machine. I checked online and the ones that I found were always very expensive. I even checked some local stores and they didn't have any or wouldn't get them till the summer. Well, Target (everybody's fave store) sent out a small catalog and lo and behold there was a kids bubble machine for $10.99. I couldn't believe it. I went the next day and got it. It came with the 6 AA batteries and a small bottle of solution. I did buy an extra big bottle just to have on hand. It BLOWS BUBBLES LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE!!! I can't wait to use it!

St. Patty's pin #2

Here is another lapel pin that I created. I like this one. I will be wearing it to work this week.
The dark green stiffened felt is traced from a cookie cutter and the lighter green is heart shapes and then I glued a button in the middle.

That's Me!

I just got a new Cricut machine and I only have 2 cartridges. My local scrapbook store rents them for 24hrs. I rented the Paper Doll one to make mermaids for my daughters Under the Sea party coming up. So, I made my other daughter a look-a-like of her. Too cute!

Optical Illusion

I found this in my daughter's Your Big Backyard magazine. This image encourages children to think creatively. WHAT DO YOU SEE? A bunny or a duck?
(I did not take pictures of the before--DUH!) Sorry! The duck is on one side and flip it over, the bunny is on the other.
