Thanksgiving Feast

My younger daughter's school had a Thanksgiving Feast.  We signed up to bring 2 dozen treats.  Decided that these were the cutest thing I had ever seen!  I used cake donut holes instead of the glaze, but, I'm sure either one is just as yummy!  I dipped them in chocolate and rolled them in jimmies and stuck a tiny pretzel in the top for the stem.  They really look like acorns!

Teacher Appreciation

Sometime around Halloween, my daughter's school had Parent/Teacher conferences and the PTO usually serve the teacher's dinner.  They were looking for people to donate and I decided to make s'mores on a stick.  They were really yummy!  Marshmallows dipped in chocolate and rolled in graham crackers.  I found the FREE printable here.

Halloween: Kid #1

I made these cupcakes for my daughter's Halloween party at school.  I found the FREE printables here.  They turned out so cute!

When I saw this idea, I just knew I had to do it.  I couldn't find any bigger size coffee filters anywhere, so, I called my local Starbucks and told them what I needed and wanted to do, they wanted to give me some.  So, I picked them up and they gave my daughter a free hot chocolate too.  We bought a bag of candy and put them in the filters and then tied them up with white ribbon.  Then, we just stuck the ghost head inside.

My daughter was Glinda the Good Witch.

Halloween: Kid #2

Yes, I know, I haven't blogged in several months.  I do need to catch up.  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.  It will come, eventually.  Here is what my littlest did for the kids in her class on Halloween.  We got the idea from here.  There were easy to make and I had everything on hand., except the Hershey bars.

Tooth Fairy

I was a little ill prepared for this event.  I knew it was loose during the day before I left for work and she lost it later in the evening while I was still at work.  I didn't think about doing something special until my friend posted something on my facebook wall and then I Googled tooth fairy and all this cute stuff came up.  So, once again, late at night, around midnight, I made a little matchbox, printed off this free printable, put glitter on it and tied a ribbon around it.  I think it turned out pretty cute!  In it was $2.00

Trunk or Treat

My daughters school had their Trunk or Treat on Friday night.  This was our first time doing this.  I decorated the back of our truck and my husband passed out the candy.  I was a volunteer, so, needless to say, I didn't get any pictures.  I was to busy running around.  I did take these before we left.
I wanted a theme and I had a few in mind and narrowed it down to this.  Who doesn't love 'It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown'?  I know I DO!  All I did was paint a huge piece of cardboard for the backdrop and  used some cornstalks and some pumpkins to make the pumpkin patch that Linus waits in for the Great Pumpkin to arrive.  We were the only cutesy trunk there.  The rest were decorated with ghosts and goblins and lights.  I tallied the votes for Best Decorated Trunk and we only got 3 votes.  Sooo, looks like next year, I may be decorating differently.  More scary/spooky?
Here is a picture of my husband, Charlie Brown.  The kids loved his costume!  My kids are Glinda the Good Witch and Strawberry Shortcake-minus their hats at the end of the night.

Bats made from TP rolls

We made these cute bats from toilet paper tubes.  Painted them black and cut out wings and glittered them.
The idea came from here.
Thinking we need to add something else to our little tree branches.  Some pumpkins maybe?
